Budget 2015 & Planned Giving

You can help us meet our target of £18,800 for the 2015 budget.

On Sunday 2 November, the Vicar updated the congregation about our finances and presented a draft budget for 2015. You can download that presentation here.

In 2015 we aim to raise an additional £18,800 in income primarily to increase our investment in mission initiatives as part of our growing ministry to the local area and the future health of our church.  Some of these projects will include:

Expanding resources in our existing young people’s ministries
Financing resources needed to open the church during the week
Supporting work with older people
New initiatives for children & families
Expanding the parish communications programmes
Renewing our 16 year old hall kitchen

You can help in two ways:

1) If you are already a planned giver you may like to increase your giving to the parish;
2) If you have not yet joined the planned giving scheme of the parish please consider doing so. The management of church funds is much more effective when we are able to predict our income.

A stewardship form and Gift Aid form can be downloaded by clicking on the links. For more information you can contact our Stewardship Officers – Susan and Peter Haisman (peterhaisman@btinternet.com).

Most importantly we would like to stress that if you do decide to increase your giving or join the planned giving scheme it is not the size of your pledge that matters but rather the giving itself. We can trust that the power of our church giving is actually derived from a collective sense of generosity to God’s purposes – each member of the community giving as they are able and reviewing that annually.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Justin, the Churchwardens and PCC
