Ealing Passion Drama: Good Friday 2015

The Ealing passion 2 0-page-001What’s this about?

This year our Good Friday Procession of Witness will be centred on the “Ealing Passion”. Written and produced by Ann Clifford, it is a dramatic re-enactment of the events of the crucifixion. This is an exciting and new way of seeking to come together as Christians in Ealing to witness to God’s love at work in Jesus on a busy bank holiday in our town centre.

What should I do?

All churches are invited to congregate on Haven Green for 9.55am on Good Friday 3rd April. There will be hymns/songs, gospel readings and prayers from 10-10.15am.

What’s going to happen then?

At 10.15am the procession, lead by a small group of soldiers with Jesus carrying his cross, will walk onto The Broadway at the pedestrian crossing just south of the roundabout and proceed past Ealing Broadway station and into the grounds of Christ the Saviour Church.

From approximately 10.45am in the grounds of Christ the Saviour there will be a re-enactment of the gospel events of the crucifixion of Jesus with dialogue, music and song.

The event will conclude at approximately 11.15am where a small piece of bread will be offered to passes by as a symbol of God’s love for the world embodied in Christ.
